About our Business

First Advice Solutions is an established financial planning group that operates on a national basis with our main office in Adelaide. First Advice Licensee Services Pty Ltd is the holder of the Australian Financial Services Licence (No. 484 091) and has a team of licenced advisers and support staff. We offer a broad range of products and services.

Our adviser team looks after over $190 million dollars of client's funds invested primarily through superannuation, pension and investment products.

In addition to our private clients, we are particularly passionate about the need for education and support in the workplace with respect to company superannuation plans. We have a service offering which covers employers and employees alike, with the main focus of increasing member’s retirement benefits and income.

Tracey Edwards started the business in 2000 and we now have our own Australian Financial Services Licence. We recently rebranded to First Advice Solutions. We have moved to new premises, renovated and set up a whole new office of our own, after sharing for the past 15 years.

Our team consists of Tracey, Renate Tonks (part-time adviser – trying to retire), Warwick Edwards (Adviser & Compliance Manager). We also have Deanna Ryder, her mother Andreina Houlahan and Megan Biar (who is currently one maternity leave with Hugo & Marley) in our Client Services Team. We support all of our staff at the various times in their careers and have a development plan for each member of the team. Megan has just completed her Diploma of Financial Planning studies and will soon join the Adviser team when she return s in February 2019.

First Advice Solutions was announced as the winner of the Best New Financial Planning Firm for 2017 with Centrepoint Alliance. This is a huge National award just to be a part of, let alone win. Part of the awards process included reviewing our business and how it operates, our policies and procedures and our staff. We are very fortunate to have an incredible team that we share our days with. The same applies to how we feel about our clients. We have a wonderful relationship with our clients and we look forward to working with them further as they achieve their goals in life.

‘Shaping your future today’ was the driving force behind our brand and is based around our promises to our clients:

  • We put your needs first
  • We give you trustworthy financial advice
  • We provide real solutions and results

Having had so much change in the past 12 months, we have a newly formulated business plan for the next 5 years. With a new brand we have a clean slate and some of our goals are:

  • Increasing women’s participation in our education series – including saving, budgeting and financial literacy
  • Engagement of all clients at an earlier age
  • More comprehensive and full retirement services including aged care
  • Greater participation in non-profit companies – either as clients or in volunteer roles on boards
